Dear You,
Last week I wrote to you on the question of ‘What to Do When You Need a Mother’. It was one of our most widely-read letters. And then this week, I sent the above image of Home to our Quiet Life members, and asked this question:
There were so many heartfelt and thoughtful responses, some of which I’ll share in a moment.
But all of this got me thinking about what it’s really like when you feel unconditionally loved, when you feel deeply at home.
And how can we reach that state of mind more often?
Today, I thought I’d share some guidelines for reaching this state.
I decided to do this in the form of a Socratic dialogue, calling on some of my own ideas, as well as the wisdom of various thinkers - including members of the Quiet Life.
Here you go - I hope you enjoy.
