Reading these comments is lovely! (as it always is, no matter what the topic)

My list includes birdsong, flowers, miniature anything, those few days in the spring when the budding leaves aren't quite out yet and it looks like a pale green mist everywhere, that first sip of tea when the temperature is just *perfect*, blue & white or red & white anything, the sssssshhhhh sound of thread pulling through fabric as I stitch, stripes, tartan, (stripes & tartan together! once a Bay City Rollers fan, always a fan LOL), the moon, dark skies with a shaft of sun or a rainbow, twinkly lights, clothing that is soft, dogs.... the list is really endless when you start paying attention!

I fell hard for a high school classmate when she and were seniors decades ago. Although the infatuation and romantic feelings died out quickly, in a platonic way I love her so much that the best way I can show my love for her is by loving and honoring my wife of just over eight years in every way possible and likewise honoring and respecting my classmate’s marriage.

When I stop to allow love in while immersed in nature, I feel it strongly. From the wind that silently whispers in the trees to the songs of the birds filling the air. Most deeply I fell it while observing free, wild animals living their lives and not aware of my presence.

Dear Susan, your prompts so often awaken my mind and my heart. LIke this one... Thank you, thank you.

An easy go-to for me has been spiders and crows--maligned fauna who are so valuable to our ecosystems. And hummingbirds, who are lovely and fascinating, but are nasty, aggressive little buggers who would be downright dangerous if they weighed more than a nickel or a quarter... The monarchs, which have migrated back to my town just this week, thrive because they taste terrible.

Just now I'm thinking of a sweatshirt I was gifted as a child (maybe 6 or 7?) with Snoopy dancing, as he does, and the words "To know me is to love me!". It was orange, and my favorite until it got totally raggedy and too small... And what I'm thinking is that maybe it would be better if it read "To love me is to know me!"

I have a friend who can be a real a**hole. But at the times he's let down his guard and I've been able to see inside, what an amazing person is there, hiding! Some things, and some people, are easy to love. Some aren't. I want to love them equally.

I love traveling by plane. There is nowhere I need to be, nothing that has to be done, and no interruptions or temptations to distract myself. I can read, or perhaps write, or I can gaze out the window in awe and let my mind wander.

This is so good! I love many things and right now color tops the list. Recently we went for a drive to an area that was new to me; it was so beautiful. Next on the list would be my bed. I love it; the comfort drives me to prayer for those who don't have beds. I think I'll make a list of all the things I love.

Snow; it's got to be snow. My experience of the seasons is that Summer is an absolute bore---months of high temperatures and uncomfortable humidity levels day after day. Winter is the most interesting season, with the skies, the clouds, and what's floating in the air close to ground level frequently changing, sometimes by the hour. Once the temperatures start to get low enough it's exciting to anticipate the appearance of snow---it's falling, blowing around, dancing in the air, flakes of unpredictable sizes and shapes, covering the ground at first in twirling designs, eventually piling up, driving us inside to be with each other more for the season.

I love bedtime when I snuggle into my cozy bed and I love waking up knowing I get to make my coffee soon. I also love that afternoon cup of tea while I read my book. There's a magic to the timing of my cup being empty and the book slipping out of my hands. Oh and I love naps too.

Waterfalls; school supplies (boxes of untouched crayons, packages of lined paper, new pencils); museums (small and large); the morning quiet before others are awake; tiny wildflowers; sunrises & sunsets; the blue-green color of the Gulf of Mexico. Mountain air. Miniatures: dollhouses, dioramas. Fresh sheets. Old clocks. Interesting architecture, old or new. Flower gardens. Cozy houses. Jigsaw puzzles. Looking through records in county courthouses.

I love the first pour of hot water over coffee grounds, the scritch of my pen on paper when I journal, the way dogs on walks occasionally look back at their owners with a look of love and connection. I love the Gray Catbird who spent the summer in my yard looking curious, the Great Blue Heron who appears on my walks when I most need him. The catalpa tree off my deck that tosses leaves and flowers on me when I’m reading. It seems that my life has been an endless stream of things to love, and I need only to be present to experience it.

This description of love is such a beautiful ode to prana—our life force. Where attention flows, prana goes, forming a bond of life that is love. Paying attention = love.

One of the strangest things that makes my heart leap for joy is the sound of the garbage truck rolling down our street and the sight of the hard working men who pick up our trash and carry it away.
