Enjoyed this conversation so much and can’t wait to read her books. And, I learned a new term that is intriguing to me - “orally fluent” …. I always use “articulate” to describe someone who verbalizes well. I plan to explore more. One of my shame points is that I don’t feel like I am orally fluent. I have so many thoughts in my head but don’t feel like I express them well.
I mean.. yes.. maybe .. but I really don't want to miss this.. I look forward to these chats ( and earlier your newsletters ) for weeks !! I will start my Monday late ( and get a good sleep ) - I promise :)
Thank you for posting this replay and giving us access to it. What an incredibly soulful time, it filled me with joy. As an aspiring ‘older’ writer, I found the discussion hopeful. Thank you for this.
Angie, You opened up a deeper conversation with myself about my own experience as a child of immigrants parents. There is so much there that I have yet to move through and integrate. Most of all, after listening to your beautiful story, I have moved closer to meeting that child in me, holding her hand, and walking her across some healing threshold. That short conversation was a catalyst for an infusion of healthy self-mothering, and it’s had a beautiful effect wash over how I have been meeting my own young daughter in recent days. Thank you for your candid, vulnerable, and inspiring sharing. …And, thank you, Susan, for making it all happen and for your on-point questions and commentary. 💙
Forgive me for not keeping up, but is the link the same for all of the Candlelight Chats? And if not, would someone please share the link for today? ❤️
Hi @JillieB! No worries. The link is different every time. Today, though, it's simply a "written" Candlelight chat - via the comments section to the piece I sent out today, on Thin Places. So, no link. (Usually, though, the candlelight chats are via Zoom, and I send out the link the day before.) I hope this helps.

wow - thanks, Sanya. See you/type to you soon. (But maybe it would be better for you to sleep?)

OK, I'm in the middle of "Happiness Falls." Is it safe to watch this, spoiler-wise?
Actually I should say “mostly.” Maybe it’s better to wait.
I'll start speed reading!
Yes!
I just got Angie's book on my mail, woo-hoo! Can't wait to read Happiness Falls and review this recording.
