I'm very excited about this upcoming session! Although now beyond midlife, I still feel that there is so much to explore about this topic... and life beyond midlife to the sacred elder years. Uncharted territory indeed. I feel the true bittersweetness of this time of life more viscerally and deeply, feel the sweetness of the last drops of wine in the bottle, feel the sacredness of each breath never knowing when the last one will be, but now definitely aware that there will be a last one. I feel more deeply, cry more frequently, am more present to each moment, embrace my solitude, appreciate the boundaries more that I didn't feel the right to set when younger, walk away much more easily from that which does not nourish, reach out to strangers in a way that sometimes connects in surprisingly deep ways, embrace all the feelings.. even if they knock me down for a while, invite grief to sit beside me as it doesn't seem to be going anywhere these days, and marvel at the internal rage and passion that is still so very much there even if not seen by others.

Thank you so much for bringing this rich subject to our next Candlelight!

Oh I will definitely be there for this one! Midlife sneaks up on you and no one is really prepared for what it is you are supposed to do with the time.
