I love the perspective of the picture of you and as a photographer myself, it looks like one I would have taken. Your comment about the charismatic person being shy does not surprise me. I know you're old enough to remember talk show host Johnny Carson. He too, was painfully shy and his show was just a performance. I differ from you in that I would not go back to the hotel for room service like you did. If the hotel was downtown, I would have went for a walk, looking for a microbrewery or pub, and then a nice restaurant or locally owned pizza place before retreating back to the hotel usually before 10 p.m. I always carry a camera and would be taking pictures for most of the walk. I'm what psychologist Scott Barry Kaufman called a "wild introvert." I've been curious since I was a small child, and I love to explore with the only company being my own mind.

That's funny - I remember that very day and I DID take a walk, and go to a lovely coffee shop. But yes it's also true that I do tend to make a beeline for cozy room service.

(SBK is a good friend and I love his 'wild introvert' formulation.)

I love the advice to ‘know yourself and honour your preferences’.

Networking, connecting, small-talking… is hard work (for me at least!). If I do too much of it, I am beat (sometimes for days). I am still learning my limits and trying to stay (well-)within what my social-battery enables me to do.

About the seven point, for me reading and studying at morning can be more productive than evening. I see the reading's benefits at the morning are three times as much as the evening.

A couple of two weeks ago, I give a lecture regarding digital banking information system. The lecture is a part of vocational course in banking to prepare employees to work on banking applications. The dedicated time of lecture was 3 hours, And I could covered all selected topics that regard to me. However, I was afraid that time is quickly ticking and passes fast so much so I hesitated to give a break of 15 min, but I found that it is not appropriate so I allowed them to take a break. So I see to give lectures is not easy, for that I see public speaking is much more difficult and really requires much advanced preparation.
